A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s really easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click that icon. In the very same fashion you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you do not need it anymore. Our system will inform you if you’re trying to activate a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a specific domain name or in case there is enabled email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or change any feature automatically and without your permission.
