Password Protected Directories in Shared Web Hosting
Setting up a password-protected area will take just a couple of clicks and a few seconds if you host your sites inside a shared web hosting account with us. You will not have to do anything complex - you will have to select a domain/subdomain, to select which folder under it has to be protected, and then to enter the login name and password that'll be used to access that folder. When a number of individuals require their own login details, there won't be a problem to set up a number of different usernames with access to the same folder. All protected folders will appear with a padlock icon within the File Manager section, so you shall always know where this feature is active. If you'd like to deactivate the security feature for any folder, you can deactivate it from the very same section of the Control Panel where you have enabled it.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Servers
It will take just a few clicks to activate the password protection function for any folder you have, when you use one of our semi-dedicated servers. We have an exceptionally effective tool, which has a user-friendly point-and-click interface and which can be used by people with zero experience. It is included in the Hepsia CP, which you'll get to manage your new account as soon as you log in and navigate to the Password Protection section, you will be able to select the domain or subdomain which needs to be secured and then the specific folder - either the main folder or any subfolder under it. You will also see 2 boxes in which you shall have to input the login name and the password which will be required to access the folder in question and you'll be ready. By following the exact same steps, you can set up several different login credentials for the exact same folder to give several people their own username/password. All protected folders will feature a small padlock sign in the File Manager section.
